“Ain’t I a Woman!” in the words of Sojourner Truth, will be a one evening virtual event that helps participants and viewers understand the present-day passionate drive to combat systemic racism and sexism. The event explores U.S. history, literature, and culture impacting today’s public struggles. Lasting approximately three hours, a work by “The Core Ensemble” will be bookended by two contextualizing recorded lectures and discussions that remain open to the public. Links will be advertised and open to public: a short recording will be available from 8/25 to 9/1. The event will take place on 9/1 from 6-9 p.m. Lecture portions will remain open to the public.
