Award-winning author Charles Frazier will receive the Appalachian Heritage Writer's Award and will present the Scarborough keynote address followed by a reception and book signing. Frazier will also present the West Virginia Fiction Competition awards. The Appalachian Heritage Writer’s Award and Appalachian Heritage Writer-in-Residence Project were developed in 1998 to celebrate and honor the work of a distinguished contemporary Appalachian writer.
