West Virginia Classics

West Virginia Classics is a book series that publishes new editions of important West Virginia literary works with new introductions by contemporary scholars.

The series is a partnership of the West Virginia University Press and the West Virginia Humanities Council. This collaborative publishing venture brings back the state’s classic books in handsome new editions.

The goal of the series is to help new generations of readers discover out-of-print texts not available from other sources that reveal the culture and diversity of West Virginia. The first two volumes in the series received an award for cover design at the New York Book Show.
