The "History in a Wagon" program will introduce visitors to 19th century heritage arts, trades, and historical transportation. The focus will be on traditional, hands-on activities that center on or around an 1800's farm wagon. Through experiential interactions with clothing, simple foods, toys, chores and transportation, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the daily life of an early West Virginia pioneer. Hands-on interaction and scholar directed discussion will help our visitors understand and appreciate how hardy and industrious our early settlers were, in respect to their needs for food, clothing, transportation, shelter and culture.
