Frankenstein at 200

The Frankenstein at 200 forum will feature three lectures by WLU faculty members on topics related to Mary Shelley's famous novel: Dr. Angela Rehbein, Associate Professor of English, will speak on the abundant afterlife of the novel in a presentation titled "Frankenstein and the Fecundity of Fiction". Dr. Aaron Harper, Assistant Professor of Philosophy, will consider philosophical dimensions to the novel in a presentation titled "Alienation and Self-Alienation in Frankenstein". Dr. Matthew Zdilla, Associate Professor of Biology, will address modern-day manifestations of the medical discourses that Shelley explores in Frankenstein, including the reanimation of lifeless body parts with electrical stimulation.
