As a part of the Upper Ohio Valley Book Festival, author Ronni Lundy will discuss her book, "Victuals: An Appalachian Journey, with Recipes." Lundy, winner of the 2017 James Beard Award for cookbooks, has long chronicled the people of the Appalachian diaspora as a journalist and folklorist. In this appearance she will illustrate the breadth and depth of the food and agricultural folklore and ways of the region. Her book, Shuck Beans, was recognized as one of six essential books on Southern cooking.
