Historic interpreter Sheila Arnold will be doing a living history interpretation of an African American slave on the western Virginia frontier inside Pricketts Fort July 9-13. She will be portraying Ol' Bess, an 18th century tavern slave who is using Pricketts Fort as a refuge. She will adapt her character to fit with the story of Pricketts Fort. The foundation's regular fort admission applies for this event.
