This free symposium involves professional actors performing brief Shakespeare excerpts (mostly comedic), followed by moderated discussion with the audience. The focus is on gender roles, communication between the sexes, women's rights and related matters in Shakespeare as compared and contrasted with modern views. This event is part of a tour to eight schools and public venues made possible by a Humanities Council grant and sponsored by the City of Smithers with The Shakespeare Studio, Montgomery.
